I've been commissioned to create a five minute music video based on Hurricane Katrina, and the producer wants to include professional photos and/or video of the aftermath. This project is slated to be broadcast on one of the Christian networks--several times. I've never had the need to license professional photographs from the likes of the Associated Press, Reuters, or whoever else, so the problem is I don't know where to start. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, like most small starving artists, their budget is a factor so can anyone ballpark it for me how much it would cost to license a photo for this kind of work?
Thanks,
-Brent
