So, I turned on my C100 today to test some other equipment and the viewfinder had alternating colored lines along the bottom and black on the top. I last used it two weeks ago to shoot a live event. It's been snug in m y Pelican Case since.

The menus all function normally, but no matter what lens I use, I end up with the same thing. If I switch tie frame rate to 60i I get a fully black screen with moving horizontal green lines instead. Is my camera mysteriously dead? I will probably do a full camera reset next, followed by a firmware update.

Image is attached.

Camera reset and Firmware update had no effect. Erghghghafhfhghg.

Do sensors just crap out?

Looks like I'm going to need to send it to Canon. Happy New Year to me.

I ended up boxing up the cam and sending it to Canon. Now the waiting game begins. It sucks it was delivered on Saturday, but apparently they only accept deliveries on weekdays. :/

Welllll, you had to say that.

They called today and apparently it's not the PCB board for $667 it's the CMOS Sensor assembly for $1077.
