Has anyone used the Panasonic 83 min. tapes in this camera? I'm thinking of buying a PD-170. I've been using those tapes in my XL-1S, with no problems.

David Clark December 9th, 2005, 05:56 PM Thanks, I did a search with the same title as above with no results. Did you find anything? Mike Rehmus December 9th, 2005, 06:16 PM Yes, a lot of threads, lots of information. Try "83 minute tape" and see what happens Martin Archer-Shee December 17th, 2005, 08:36 AM Hi dave I have been using the Panasonic 83 minute tapes in my PD 150 with great results. In fact out of necessity I have used a couple several times with no worry. The longer length is so much more usefull when taping something like a recital or dance performance and you can't arrange for a 30 second spot in which to change tapes. Try them you will appreciate. Martin Richard Zlamany December 17th, 2005, 10:58 PM I too use them with great success. Brandon Potthoff January 19th, 2006, 12:10 PM I am a wedding videographer and have been using those tapes for quite some time now and have not have any troules to date. They have been a huge convience so far and I feel lost when I run out and cant get any. I have not had a lot of sucess finding them. Brandon |
