83 min tapes for the PD-170

Has anyone used the Panasonic 83 min. tapes in this camera? I'm thinking of buying a PD-170. I've been using those tapes in my XL-1S, with no problems.

Yes, a lot of threads, lots of information. Try "83 minute tape" and see what happens

Pana 83 min tapes

Hi dave

I have been using the Panasonic 83 minute tapes in my PD 150 with great results. In fact out of necessity I have used a couple several times with no worry.
The longer length is so much more usefull when taping something like a recital or dance performance and you can't arrange for a 30 second spot in which to change tapes.
Try them you will appreciate.
