Ok i'm pretty sure this has been discussed extensively before but for some reason i can't seem to find it.. i was wondering if there's a way to view what i'm editing on a video moniter via my small digi cam.

I'm using FCP, so i connected my G5 to my camera via firewire and then from the camera to the monitor via the RCA outputs... yet when i put a video layer on the timeline, nothing pops up on the monitor? i was pretty sure this was a method to viewing your vid on monitor for color correction etc.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on this for me? thanks very much!!
