I need a videographer for a paid 1-2 days job within the next month, shooting some footage from a factory in Loves Park, IL.

No editing, we will do all post processing here, you will just have to send us your DV tapes.

I need to edit the footage with some of my own footage taken with Canon XH-A1 in HDV-format, so you must use a camera this type.

We will have a storyboard that describes exactly what we want, and which we will discuss with you before the job. We are talking about shots from a production factory, - creative shots, closeups with some effect light on moving high tech machines etc. - No interviews.

There will be a person helping you on the location.

The footage will be used for a 5 min. company introduction video.

We need professional quality and therefore we need a person who is confident with such a type of job.

Email me at "reklamefoto@mac.com" if you can help!

Hello all,

I'm looking for an AC for an upcoming feature entitled 'Drawing With Chalk'. The film (to be shot on the HVX with M2/Brevis adapter) will mainly be shot in White Plains (20 miles north of NYC) with an additional few days scheduled for a shoot in upstate NY. Our first shooting date is Oct. 20th and 21st with the rest being shot in April '08.

The film is about the conflict between an artistic life and a practical life and one family man's struggle to have both. We have a SAG Ultra-Low Budget agreement and intend on shooting for 18 days. Our budget is low, but the position does pay (travel/food included of course).

We are looking for someone who has experience with pulling focus with the M2 or Brevis (we have the Redrock Micro FF). If you would like more information or would like to send your resume, please contact me at: todd@drawingchalkpictures.com

We are also looking for additional positions: Best Boy, Grip, Gaffer, etc. All positions are paid. Again, we are ultra low budget (so you won't get rich), but you'll still be able to pay your bills.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey all,

My NV-MX8 died, and I have no other PAL cams. Would anyone in the pacific northwest be willing to dump these down to a hard drive for me?

I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you checked your NTSC cams? I have a couple that play PAL tapes just as if they were PAL cams. An undocumented but very welcome feature.

Thanks John. Yeah, I have. My PV-DV953 and 852 both say "unknown format", or something to that effect. I'd love to find one that plays back PAL.

I have access to an Optura 30 and my Optura XI should be back up and running soon. Do you happen to know if they play back PAL?

Thanks!

We need a bilingual Spansih-speaking editor to work with us on converting several training videos to Spanish.

Does anyone here from the Buffalo area need an extra part time editor or helping hand with their production house/company?

I'm a student at UB and I took a leave of absence from my part time job to work for a concert promoter but as it turns out he isn't booking as many shows as he said.

So if there is anyone here I can't speak with about doing a little part time work I'd be absolutely thrilled. Thank you!

Need Spanish Speaking Video Editor in Dallas, TX

Latimundo is looking for a Spanish speaking Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, or Sony Vegas editor. Many of our projects are in Spanish and many projects are unscripted. In house only! The position is available now. Please send your information to hr@latimundo.com with examples of your work. You may also send a disc with your demo reel.

Due to spam, responses without links to your work are usually disregarded. You cannot be evaluated without your work!

Requirements:
Most important skill is being able to work with m2t files. Of course you would also need to be able to handle audio problems. You must be able to produce edits in a timely manner is also needed. Also, you must be able to produce basic motion graphics and work with complex assets from our 3D department. Finally, being professional is crucial.

Please also send the answer to these questions with your response:
Do you speak Spanish fluently?
Have you worked with M2T files?
Are you comfortable working in FCP, Premier or Both?
Can you edit and enhance sound? (clean problem audio)
Can you provide unique color looks to the footage?
Do you have an online Demo Reel or can a DVD be sent?
Are you comfortable with motion graphics and combining 3D elements?
Please, list any extra abilities you feel you have above average skills in.

After you answer these questions, please let me know when you can you meet.

Thanks you for considering Latimundo.

I edited the posting to include Vegas.

I really do not have a preference to what you edit in, as long as you can deal with M2T files and can produce a good product.
Thanks,

LOL,
Yeah, we tend to have too much fun... but that is a good thing.

However, we are trying to expand with some new services and we would like to get some help with the new stuff.

Ironically, the biggest problem seems to be the m2t files. I hate them and so do everybody else.

I guess I will have to spend some more time figuring out a workflow to make it easier to find somebody...

Hello All,

I am reaching out my humble hands out in hopes of finding a couple of good (and free!) GRIPS/PA's for a one day shoot in Austin on October 13.

Here's a little history for you. I have spent most of my life as an editorial/pro-sports photographer. Tons of my work can be seen today by just Googling my name. (Lot's of cool pictures if I do say so myself ! ha, ha.) I now find that my industry is changing everday with the focus steering away from print media and more towards multimedia presentations on the internet.

So, I've decided that if my particular industry was going towards video then why do it half ass. Forget some small time multimedia presentation of some nameless newspaper website. Why not shoot for the stars and try my hands at producing and directing a tv show. (I do have some experience, I was a video/film major in school but went back to my first love of photography.)

So, here we are today. I've got a unbelievable host in Texas, a cool location, a bunch of gear, some extra's, a storyboard and a dream. Only thing missing is some extra hands.

What we will be working on is the opening sequence for my tv show pilot. There will be some hot chicks, and some cool tattoos, a 70's glam hotel and did I say some hot chicks? And one cool, verry funny host for you ladies who might be interested in helping as well!

It's going to be a lot of fun, (trust me on this, I flew out to Austin a few days ago for some pre-production stuff and my host was like the King of Sixth Street!), we'll get to learn a few things together and we'll feed you.

If your interested please drop me a note as soon as possible at scott@scottaudette.com to discuss the details.

Thanks,

Scott Audette

Hi all:

Need your recommendations on hiring a Steadicam Operator for single day shoot in LA.

1. Must be very skilled

2. Must own rig that can easily handle Panasonic Varicam loaded up with film-style setup (wireless video tap needed, wireless follow focus needed)

3. Must have Steadicam reel on-line so that director can approve of hire

4. Non-union job

5. Shoot is on Wednesday, October 17th in the Valley

No offense intended but need a real pro who does this for a living, no low end rigs or inexperienced operators. This will be a short day for the operator but he/she must be able to nail these carefully blocked shots through a four sided set.

Please call me (805) 443 3541 or e-mail blfilms@mac.com me if you fit the bill.

All the best,

Dan Brockett

I can't decide if this belongs in this forum or the marketplace, but I'll try this one.

I have a gig October 9-11 in the Indianapolis Convention Center and I need to rent an XL-H1. I own 3 XL-H1s, but I need a 4th for this event. It would be used by a professional camera-op as part of a 4 camera live-to-screen shoot for an indoor arena event. There will be NO TAPE run through the camera, so no time on the heads. Live to screen, only.

I will fully guarantee the safe return of the camera in the same condition it was provided.

I am willing to travel a reasonable distance (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois) to pick-up and return or I would pay for shipping.

Please drop me an email or respond to this thread if you can provide a camera.

Thanks,

Vence
