Guys a quick question I hope someone can help me clear up. I am probably going to be purchasing one of the new wide angle lens adaptors that are out for the dvx100 and just wanted to make sure the 0.7x wide angle lens from century optics is NOT going to give me an image that has any "fisheye" elements to it. Also what is the difference between the wide angle and the tele-converter lens. Thanks for the help guys.

one more quick thing. sorry i didnt add it in the last one. Do you guys believe the .7 or .6 lens is more versatile? thanks.

I haven't seen the adaptors on the DVX100 yet, but I am familiar with Century's similar adaptors for other lenses, so I feel confident in saying that you will see very little barrel distortion in the .7 (just a little more in the .6). Neither will give you what could be considered a "fisheye" effect.

As far as versatility, my feeling is that a full zoom-through as available on the .7x is the way to go, in that it's a pain to have to take the .6x adaptor on and off depending on the focal length of a given shot (and if you are shooting run-and-gun, it's a double pain).

Optically, you can't beat Century's products.

I've also seen some vignetting (darkening of the corners) with the .6X adapter. The .7X is all around more versatile, just not quite as wide.
