I am shooting a music video on Saturday. I am thinking of using the HDV-SD60p but I have one question:

I am doing some green screen work - will the HDVSD60p footage have 4:2:0 color space like 720p HDV or will it be 4:2:2 like the SD?

Also I am assuming you capture in MPEGstreamclip when using this format. When you export a quicktime for FCP what format do you use? AIC30p?

It is my understanding that the only way to get 4:2:2 colorspace is to digitize your footage as it is being shot via the composite out ports. I do not believe your frame rate alters this in any way.

I'm not sure how or if the firestore can digitize 4:2:2... Not sure about FCP.

Standard Def DV is never 4:2:2. It is 4:1:1 in NTSC, and 4:2:0 in PAL.

Using the HDV SD60P setting will be 4:2:0 just like the 720P modes.

You should really do a green screen test to make sure SD 4:2:0 is going to give to satisfactory results. There are NLE plug-ins that "uprez" the other colour channels to help with keying. Graeme Natress designed one for FCP. You should search around for other options as well.
