Is there a plug-in I could get, or can someone tell me which audio filter(s) and settings I need to make a voice sound like it's coming over the phone?
Thanks,
Heath

Just run the audio through a basic equalizer and drop the low frequencies (and maybe play with some of the highs as well). You just want the tinny high and midrange frequencies that we associate with a telephone. No need for a special application or plugin, just a simple equalizer. Heath McKnight May 16th, 2007, 09:34 PM I'll give them both a shot. Thanks!! heath Andy Mees May 17th, 2007, 06:31 AM thats what i linked to David ... a bunch of equalizer presets Heath McKnight May 17th, 2007, 09:16 AM Andy, I haven't received an email confirmation for my account. Thanks, Heath David Garvin May 17th, 2007, 12:58 PM thats what i linked to David ... a bunch of equalizer presets Got ya'. I clicked on that link but didn't sign up so I thought your link was to some kind of "phone effect" plugin. Andy, I haven't received an email confirmation for my account. Give the EQ tweaking a shot. It's really easy. I don't have FCP in front of me, but go into the audio effects, find some kind of EQ and just mess with it. If you can find something with a "high pass filter", that will probably work for you. A "high pass" does exactly what it sounds like, it allows the high frequencies to "pass through" and cuts out the lower frequencies. It should at least get you close. |
