Took this shot on the weekend at my cabin 62 degrees North is this fellow lost or not.

That bird has definately taken a wrong turn somewhere. That's an adult male Western Tanager. Everybody probably warned him not to take that shortcut!

Thanks Rick:

No one in the group had ever seen such a bird in this area. He was amazing to watch as he hunted flies. The cabin exterior is warming up by the sun and as it does the flies that found a home for the winter in cracks and behind trim are coming out and this fellow was feasting on them grabbing them in a mid air chase.

Now that I have the name of the bird I'll do some research as to what should have been the northern limit of his range.
