I just got my new 200, I tried to shoot on 60p, but I'm unable to load into FCP
the window shows me the footage, it does the preroll, the roll but it says waiting for data.
Can this camara shoot in slowmo like the Panasonic P2? Is there any special set up for it?
Can it be recorded on tape or I have to buy a Firestore to shoot this?

Yes -- you can record to tape.

Boris, FCP does not yet capture 720p60 over firewire. You can use other applications to digitize the footage via firewire but you will lose timecode.
Do a seacrch on MPEG streamclip and you will find the proper workflow.
The most economical way to work with 720p60 is to purchase a Black Magic Intensity card but you need the HD50 deck and a MacPro.
Once you have the footage digitized you can then use Apple Cinema Tools to see the overcranked footage at 24p instead of 60p.
Best.

if you have access to a pc, DV-Rack 2.0HD captures 60p over Firewire.

Thanks to all, I load the footage with the Apple intermediate Codec and then into Cinema Tools and conform it to 24fps, not that problematic, it was easy to do once you know what to do.

Can the Firestore record 720/60P? I'm thinking of purchasing one in lieu of a deck for now. Do I need the deck to import 60p to a Macpro?
And I'll need FCP 6 to import 60p anyway, correct?

The firestore can currently capture 720p60 as m2t. As well many free applications on both Windows and Mac can capture 720p60 as m2t.
A deck is not needed. FCP6 is not needed either. If you want to use 60P for overcranked slow-motion then use the workflow described in this thread (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=83228).
If not, you can simply re-encode 720p60 m2t using mpegstreamclip.
Apple will eventually release an update to FCP6 that will allow the direct firewire capture of 720p60 HDV into quicktime. They demonstrated it at NAB this year, but we are patiently awaiting the release of the update.
