Digital verses film, Olympus verses Nikon---I'd take the Nikon F5 over everything, except for maybe a good medium format camera. :-))

Thanks for the URL Filip!

I do believe that the Olympus VisionPlex project will come to fruition. I know of a few DPs from LA who are already talking about the camera... The biggest issue with them is that it has not been determined if it does 24P... hmmmmmm... perhaps we might see a glimpse of it at NAB.

I would love to see Olympus get involved in high end Digital Cinematography. As more different companies add their own designs as to what the form factor and feature set should be, it will ultimately mean better and hopefully more affordable products for everyone. Let's be thankful that it is not just Sony who is dictating what the market will bear.

Hoping the Olympus VisionPlex will be under $60K... Perhaps the Olympus High Def format is much more robust and higher quality than that of HDV.

I've always liked the OM1 and newer versions. The lenses were good also.
