So what do you think of the upcoming Mac App Store?

Thanks for bringing this to attention, Michael. I hadn't heard of it at all.

It looks like it's going to encourage a lot more developers to develop software for OS X. I guess it's just a better way of marketing, really (by re-labelling "software" as "applications" and then selling it using the successful iPhone/iPad model). But it could result in some great new stuff being made available. And maybe some great bargains too (as developers will reach a larger market, they might go for more volume at lower prices).

Purely my opinion.
