Atomos Shogun dead, no longer functional - 2nd one

Maybe I'm cursed by Atomos for making fun of their body painting booth at NAB last year, but my second Shogun arrived and died within hours. This time it is simply the black screen of death. Fan still runs.

Anyone else heard of quality control issues?

Yes. Every piece of electronic equipment has them to varying degrees of percentages of products manufactured. And some people can get struck twice by lightning. You could try a different product altogether, and there's even the possibility you'd still be plagued by issues.

However, at this point, you can go with round three and keep your fingers cross, or try something else and see if you have better luck.

I'll roll the dice again. It's really a beautiful piece of kit otherwise and I like the SSD option.
