time lapse video with HG10?

I've searched all over and can't figure out how to do this. Does anyone know how to capture time lapse video with this camera?

Thanks

Isn't that something of a video editing process, after the fact?

You can make footage into time lapse in post, but it takes up a huge amount of storage while shooting. You have to keep the camera running the whole time instead of having it shoot discrete segments.
