Panasonic and Avid
I moved to AZ instead of bying the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and am wondering if that is still the right solution to work with Avid Pro? The video crew at ASU swears by it even though they have great JVC equipment that costs a lot more.
I probably have to upgrade my Avid version now. Sheesh. Anyway . . . I want to hit the ground running, . . . even if i run at a crawl. I understand that in 08 there is supposed to be an order of magnitude faster cpu's from Intel. I have a home grown Vista box with 750 GB SATA drive and GeForce 8800 GTX video card on an nVidea motherboard with 4GB RAM. I'm still wanting the Panasonic camera, but am wondering if the P2 cards are getting large enough yet. I understand the 32 GB cards are supposed to be out now. Any tyhoughtsa on any of this as it pertains to Avid? Niki in the desert. |

When you say "upgrade Avid my version," are you currently running Avid on that computer? What version of Avid do you have?
