				DNxHD Question

Hi all I just finished filming and editing a music video with the Sony EX-3. I shot it in 1080 HQ mode (35 MB/s). When I finished editing I batch imported the clip in DNxHD 185 resolution, and transcoded it to DNxHD 185. My question is: did I gain any quality by batch importing this with a higher bitrate than what I shot it with? BTW, You can watch the finished music video here: YouTube - ‫????? ????? - ????? ????‬‎ thanks! |

No. The video quality will not increase just because you increased the bitrate. Subsequent changes to the DNxHD version will not degrade the video as much as if you had used the original files, so that is the primary benefit.
