Avid Xpress Pro 5.5 now supports Canon 24F Frame mode -- yes or no?

My friend Mike Curtis over at HD For Indies reports that yes it can:

http://www.hdforindies.com/2006/06/a...-mojo-sdi.html

"Avid released Xpress Pro 5.5, Mojo SDI, and DS Nitris 8.0 today... Xpress Pro 5.5 adds Canon 24F support..."

But I've been all over the Avid press release, site, forum etc. and can't find any reference to this. Hmm, gotta call Mike in the morning. Anybody else have any input or heard anything further about this?

Oops! Wrong! My bad....

Hey all -

I reported Canon 24F support, but I was in a hurry and I don't know where I got that from - maybe I was thinking XDCAM HD? Dunno, but in any case, that was incorrect, my apologies.

-mike, who's crying chicken little a little too often lately

1080i 59.94 Project

I have read an Avid .PDF that states Canon 24 Frame mode can be captured in a 1080i 59.94 project. I will be attempting that in the next few days, will let you all know how it goes.

any report on this

Just checking on the progress on this. Were you able to capture 24f successfully using hdv 59.97?
