Problem installing the Canon XF Utilities disk at DVinfo.net

I have a problem installing the Canon XF Utilities disk. I get the error =1.
I'm on a MBP with version 10.6.8
I have repaired disk permissions etc with no luck getting this software installed. Also I have searched the net with a few others having the same problem but with no fix.

Any advice?

Ok I have now install the software. I deleted the Canon XF folder and its contents, emptied trash.
I then downloaded the FCP 7 XPFM11 from canon. from here I had great success with the Canon XF utilities disk which installed.
