Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Yes the chamois came with mine.
Used the c-cup last night at a BTS shoot which was mostly handheld. It was excellent and definitely makes the EVF a viable viewfinder. It's also gives a great 3rd point of contact when handheld. I wear glasses full time and with the chamois it was very comfortable. |
Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Hi, I've been waiting for 3 weeks now. Living in The Netherlands.

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
I've used it on a couple of shoots. It is a good addition to the camera and well designed. It's a real shame the magnify function doesn't work in the VF as that would have made the C-cup a vital piece of kit.

No heated eye cup for this camera?
Happy Canada Day! |
Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Gary Huff, I didn't know that. That does indeed make it a vital piece of kit although opening and closing the screen all the time might get a bit tedious! I'm going to experiment more with the VF and c-cup and see if works for a large part of a run and gun shoot.

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
My only complaint is that the glue holding the Chamoise leather has proven to be inadequate as the leather has moved away from the rubber as a result of opening the LCD, even carefully. That said, a very worthwhile addition.

Finally sacked the Zacuto rig and replaced it with Andrew's eyecup. A world of difference. Thanks for doing it.

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Been meaning to say, I've been using this C-Cup for over a year, all across Indonesia, Japan, Tokyo, and China. The thing rules. If you're on the fence, just get it.
Only thing is I wish it didn't collect dust so badly, but it's VERY easy to clean. The thing flung off in a desert esque scenario in Indonesia, and man, the whole thing was covered...but a bit of water, clean as new. Do it! |
Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
I like mine but it seems that it is pretty easy to knock off or it falls off, no matter how snug I have the tie down cinched. Anyone else run into this issue?

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Yep me too.

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
I must be doing something wrong. Mine has been in place since installation and hasn't moved. :)

Re: Custom Eyecup for the C100
Hmm...I've almost lost mine a couple of times when it fell off. I'll have to mess with it some more to see if I have it attached correctly.
