1.0.9 update is out
Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR firmware

I just got my 7D last night and am trying to update the firmware.
Do I have to get 1.0.8 update before I do 1.0.9? I googled and searched but couldn't find 1.0.8 update anywhere. Mine says it's currently 1.0.7 version. Thank you for your post and all the help. JJ |

You go upgrade to the current one1.0.9 this contains all the other updates as well. the older 1.0.8 is not necessary.

I tried to move the firmware file (as the website states), but it keeps saying "the file is not supported on this device. Although the device supports unspecified files, it does not support .fir files."
The CF card is formatted. Again, sorry for the rookie trouble, but your help is much appreciated! Thanks. JJ *EDIT: I got it, I got it... |

My 7D arrived this weekend and is already 1.0.9, so I guess the new 7D batches are all up to date.

I got mine Friday and it's 1.0.9 as well.
