Canon EOS T2i?

Hi folks,

I just saw the news about the new T2i this morning and am kinda drooling at the moment. Not sure I should be though (not an expert - would want the cam for HD video capabilities). I've been focused on the Panasonic GH1 mainly because it a) does what I'm wanting (DOF 24p 1080, etc) and b) autofocus while shooting video. What's held me back on the Panasonic is price, price, weak codec, and price. IIRC, the previous Canon T1i(?) could only manage 1080p at 20fps, but this new one does 24, 25, and 30fps, plys 720p at 50 and 60fps.

If anyone in the know has seen this new camera, care to comment? Thanks.

7D's younger brother EOS Rebel T2i EF-S

Canon will release new EOS Rebel T2i EF-S (550D) with similar HD video quality.

The New Rebel 2Ti

Here's the new Canon Reber 2Ti for $900 (with 18-55 kit):
Canon EOS Digital Rebel T2i

How does this stack up against the 7D? There's a huge price difference, and the only two major things I could figure out comparing the two is the difference in shutter speeds and the viewfinders. The rest is the same.
