5D mark2 video clipping on quicktime

I am new with the mark 2. I love the camera and the stills I produce with it. I also love the notion of HD video and been experimenting for two weeks now. Great quality one problem.
I video playback using quicktime (Apple) is somewhat jerky..not a lot yet not a smooth playback any suggestions? Thank you
