NEW and old GENUS MATTE BOX

I just received NEW AND IMPROVED Genus WIDE ANGLE Matte Box. After a quick and dirty couple of images, I posted main differences and side to side "portraits" of both units. My first impression is that the "new" box is better and more reliable than old one.

See link: Zenfolio | FOTOGRAFIJA | 5D Mark II

WARNING: when ordering new matte box, please MAKE SURE that you are getting the updated model. I found that some of the retailers in North America have wrong SKU numerations and mixed up photos of the product they sell.
I got my new unit from Genus HK directly.
Many thanks to Mr. Anthony Wong.

Thks for the update. So the new WIDE box is unable to handle a French flag anymore right? In reality will the matte box work with a 16-35mm F2.8L Canon?

Wrong!
I just don't have 2 French flag kits at the moment. The connection assembly is compatible with both new and old Matte boxes. Sorry for confusion.
As far as any of Canon lenses go, I don't know. I don't use them in video mode because damn "auto f stop"... I just use vintage Nikon/Contax MF lenses and they rock!
The wides I used with Genus Matte Box is Contax Distagon 21mm/2,8 with no issues...
