Extended warranty (really a service agreement of sorts), is a bit like an insurance policy. Over the long haul, on theaverage, they pay out about 20 cents for every doller spent on them, maybe less. Which is to say, maybe one in 5 people who buy one get their money's worth, and if you buy a lot of gear, you will nto save any money - unless you are an especially unlucky person.
