How do I connect the video light

I recently bought the DM-50 Mic... to my gl2 camcorder how do I connect the video light canon (VL-10Li) since the light also connects to the camcoder accessory shoe any suggestions...

You can only connect one Accessory Shoe accessory at a time. To my knowledge.

Unfortunately Eric, that accessory won't supply the signal connections for the above named mic and camera light. The GL-2 and XL-2 have an intelligent hot shoe with the contacts at the front of the shoe. For non-intelligent accessories, your suggestion is a good one.
