Shutter speed
A guy I'm working with has a GL1, and is under the impression there's no shutter speed control. I'm sure this is incorrect, but I looked over the camera with him and could not find one. I looked through the menu as well. I saw wheel marked "exposure," but the shutter speed reading on the LCD monitor didn't change when I messed with it.

GL1 manual shutter speed settings start at 1/60, and up.

Thanks. Now where is the switch/button/dial?

The exposure dial is also a push-button as well as a rotary dial. In full manual program mode, the exposure wheel adjusts the exposure. Push the wheel button. Now it controls shutter speed. Push it again -- now it controls gain. Push it again and you're back to exposure control. Hope this helps,

See also pages 55-56 of the GL1 user's manual. Download it from the download library www.canondv.com/downloads/manuals.html
