Anyone else going to (or coming from) Sony FX1?

Thinking about upgrading(?) to the Sony HDR-FX1 HDV from my GL2. Anyone else have some insight regarding such a move?

I like the GL2, but hey, it's just not HDV (in my calculus, HDV=cool). Yes, I know I can't burn an HD DVD yet -- but I can still edit the footage on my P4 3.4 2GB, output back to DV tape for playback (at least until HD DVD or Blu-ray burners are affordable).

I welcome any thoughts.
thanks
