Audio control while dubbing

I'm a newbie so bear with me if this is a dumb question.

I want to copy a tape from my GL2 to another digital camera tape. There are some noises in the original tape which I want to eliminate when it's copied. How can I do this?

you have to capture your footy on a pc and edit the sound that way.
