Photo button 1/2 push does nothing even with mini-sd? at DVinfo.net

I am trying the MINI-SD card 1/2 push of the photo button, but instead of telling me the info of the apareture and shutter speed, it gives me a little RED OFF icon in the bottom left hand corner.

How do I get this to work properly?

Never mind, I had the photoshot off in the menu. Fixed.

You have to make sure the photo option is on. It's somewhere in the menu, don't remember off hand and i'm not around an HV20, but just poke through the menus and make sure the photo option is set to ON. (of some sort)
