Mikko,

you say the hc-1 isn't as noisy. How about the hc-3 though?

Ouch, that doesn't look too good. I think you messed up the aspect ratio when you compressed it, it looks like blown up DV. If that's how that camera's video actually looks then I'd have to say there's no comparison.
