New camera, new flick, new problems
I posted a film in the show your work forum.
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=96927 I used the HV20, 60i, IAF, self-shooting. It seems no matter how slow I swing the prop it won't stay in focus throughout. Any suggestions? best, elmer |

are you using a hood on the camera? I found the as soon as I put a hood on my camera the focus was thrown off, apparently the sensor is really close so if something spreads out in front of it it makes it much harder on the camera to focus.

I'd recommend manual mode for focus when on a tripod.
Other than that, I don't use IAF because .. yes.. it's all over the place :( I use the traditional focus option.. which is more smooth anyway. I'd suggest that!
