cancel the TRANSEND 400X 32 CARDS.

they DO NOT WORK WITH THE CANON XF100

after 10mins of video u will get BUFFER OVERFLOW and the recording will stop and the camera will try to recover the data!

the only cards that works 100% are the recomended cards by canon!

Oh wow, I didn't know the camcorder will actually do that! I have been contemplating the 400x transcend as well as it is cheaper (I currently use a 16gb Extreme, and plan to get some 32gb or 64gb cards), but now I will DEFINITELY get the recommended cards!!

You just saved me from a lot of cursing, and a lot of crying!! I owe you a lot of chicken nuggets!

I was able to exchange the xa10 and BH Photo will send me out the xf100 once they get the xa10 back. I loved the xa10 but jumped on a xf100 once they were available. I hope I made the right choice. I would love to know what owners of this camera think and if any one has compared the two cameras. Any feedback would be great thank you.

I think you'll be very happy with the move from the XA10 to the XF100.
It's slightly larger in size but quite a bit more capable (especially the codec).

With the XF codec, we've been only recommending the Hoodman 675X cards or the new Delkin 625X cards...example: with the Delkin 450x cards, the cards choked at about the 5 min mark on the XF305...
