Better eyepiece for a Canon XF100
Ok 100/105 users, I got a question/problem....
I HATE THE EYEPIECE ON MY XF100!!!!.... Back when I had my Canon XH-A1 and A1s I bought a large Sony eyepiece that fit perfect over my Canon eyepiece so that fixed that problem. So, has anyone tried that option yet? or has someone figured out other solutions? I have tried the i-cuff PRO Professional Eyecup and it doesn't feel right. I guess I'm just use to the one I have on my XF300..... Please help!!!

Yes I like to replace the eyepiece. But you cannot remove it. So you are stuck with it.
I also would like to clean the eyepiece properly, which you cannot do either.

Re: Better eyepiece for a Canon XF100
When I owned
The XF100 I picked up a hoodman compact hood loupe that I puton. The LCD screen. Not ideal, but when magnification was kicked in it made critical focus easier even with some run and gun situations. The nice thing is that with the magnification on, once you hit the record button the view automatically goes back to normal. I wear glasses with bifocals and it sucks not being to see through the eyepiece. I previously used the XH-A1 and the sony EX1 and both had nice eyepieces yes. I use the same hoodman set up with my c100' and while not ideal,a still helps with critical focus. Jerry Mennenga Sioux City, Iowa |

I find using a Bluestar Cushion helps.
