I tested out the figrig and the multirig at the DVshop store yesterday. Very different products. He didn't have a merlin in to try. He did have a dvrig pro HD there but not for demo so I didn't get to hook up the A1 to it. the HD is a much heavier duty product than the multirig. Being small I'm wondering if the shoulder mount is too heavy sans camera. I'll go back again and check it out when he has it ready.

I liked the figrig but did find after a few minutes you could feel the strain - and could imagine how that would be in an hour of use. I did like the solid feel of the wheel in the hands though. But did notice how you are so separate from the controls once you get going.

The multirig wasn't bad and I imagine after some practice you could get some great shots with it. Definitely would take the strain off shooting long stretches.

The merlin I imagine is yet another kind of shot. I'm going to try and find somewhere to demo it if possible.

Yes, all of them in the collection would be very nice. : )
