New to the Forums, Hello! (and a quick SGPro/A1 question)

Hi, I just wanted to say I'm very happy to be apart of these forums. I'm 21, and go to Ryerson University in the Film Studies program (in 3rd yr now). I've owned a Canon XH-A1 since June 07, and it's been a fantastic camera. I upgraded from my Sony PD170, and it's turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made in terms of value for the money and constant output of high quality video.

I hope to be an asset to the forum, I've been itching to make some useful forum posts and just let everyone know that it was this forum that made me choose the A1 over the V1U. The excellent, useful information by people who actually have used the camera and the fantastic sample videos that some of you have put onto the site, they were very much needed in the decision making process.

I use my A1 for my small business, shooting events and such (which is another reason I stuck with a tape based medium) and for my personal and school projects.

I'm looking into purchasing an SGPro for the A1, and my first question is, I'm looking at getting the Minolta MD mount for it. I have a Minolta X700 with half a dozen lenses. Does anyone have any advice or experience with using the Minoltas with the SGPro, or are Canon and Nikon the top choices for quality?

Thanks again!
