Took the plunge...A-1 on the way

I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who helped me with some questions re: the A-1.

My A-1 and kit are on the UPS truck headed to my place now.

I'm sure I'll have questions and I've found this forum most helpful in times past.

Take care all.

I'm on my way to intercept that truck! ;o)

Hopefully, someday, I can post the very same message you did, Roger! Enjoy that camera!

The UPS man showed up early this morning. After doing the paperwork and charging the battery, I headed out to try the A-1, SD mode, 16:9....just to get a feel for the camera.

Just as I remembered from the demo at the camera shop, the image on my T.V. was sharp.

It's been a bit of a grey day here but when the sun did peak out, I happened to be filming some birds at our feeder and was surprised at how nice the out of box colors were...at least on my T.V.

Stay in touch all.

This is going to be fun.

My new grampa cam. :)

You should try the preset-function out soon. You can change and tweak a lot which is great because I didnīt completely like the standard preset. Especially switching to "cine1" gamma made me like the image more. Depends on your taste of course.

Have fun!
