Hi Alex,
Elapor foam is what they make some RC aircraft out of. Its similar to polystyrene but is much tougher, and you shouldn't get any little bits coming away when you apply/remove the cap. I just traced around the hood and cut it out with a modeling knife, sanded the edges and that was it. Trouble is I don't know whether you can buy Elapor off the shelf, I just took a big chunk off one of the wings from an old model. Mark |
