Wide Angle Adapter's Effect on DOF

Curious about this. Will a wide angle adapter of say .6 or .7 have any effect on the width of DOF assuming the same distance from the subject? If you can zoom through WA adapter, will you get the same DOF as you would without it?

I know that one can get a narrower DOF with a larger sensor than we can with the A1's. I'm curious if the wide angle adapter offers any advantages in that context.

TIA

A wider angle lens gives greater DOF, all other factors (e.g. sensor size) being the same. The greater DF is there throughout the range
