How to attach both light & Receiver

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can attach both an external camera light and wireless lav set up to the xha1. I wont be on a tripod so I cant attach it there.

I often use two wireless receivers. One attached to the top shoe slot and one clipped to the outside of the hand grip. It works well there for handheld shooting

I saw something at B&H nearly a year ago that was basically a bar with two shoe mounts on top that attached to the camera shoe mount. That should solve your problem if the mounting the receiver to hand strap doesn't work. I like the concept because it moves the light a little off center and makes some shadows.

I once had a thought about using the shotgun mount to hold a piece of PVC and mounting a shoe receptacle to it. I never ended up doing it, but it should work.

The Rycote multimount is a tidy answer for your needs. Rycote - 037303 HOT SHOE EXTENSION pics here, posts 6 and 8 http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/sony-hvr...ml#post1414542
