Connecting XH-A1 to SmallHD DP-6
Is there another way to connect the Canon XH-A1 to a SmallHD DP-6 other than with the Canon D3 to RCA component cable?
Is there a source for another, shorter cable available than the one that comes with the XH-A1? |

Ed I have the same problem. How did you connect the SmallHD to your Canon?

Couldn't you find another one of those cables and make it to size? You can either attach new plugs or just remove a piece of the middle and resolder and reattach the wires..

Re: Connecting XH-A1 to SmallHD DP-6
If you're OK with Composite quality, then you can connect the DP6 to the XH-A1 using a BNC to RCA cable. Connect the RCA to the Green input on the DP6 and select Composite as the Input source via the DP6 menu.
For me, the quality that Component offers (over Composite) is worth the hassle of the cabling ... Kindest regards, Ross
