Mic 4 A1 at DVinfo.net

Do you guys know a good mic for cultural performances that is not too long for the A1 and not too expensive. Thx

Go look in the "now hear this" subforum. There is a lot of that over there. Also, mics are not generally not especially good for one type of camera so it doesn't really matter whether it's for a xh-a1, Z1, V1, HVX, etc.

After much debate I settled on the Rode NTG1. It is shorter than the NTG2, or E66 since it can use the direct phantom power of the camera and is less expensive. I like it although I prefer to use a better shock mount on top of the camera.
