Fireworks with the A1

Not a spectacular show, but a very strong showing of the A1 in low light :)

4th of July Fireworks Miami FL

No color grading or editing. About 54 MBs of firework in Doral a town in Miami Dade County.
This is the complete show capture with the VIVIDRGB (Steven's) 24-fps. I used at the beginning 1/24 shutter then tried 1/48 and at the end 1/12th sec shtter. Aperture was set between f4 and f9.5, gain at 0 db. I capture the 1080i 24fps footage with FCP 5.0.4 with a Blackmagic HD Extreme card with the 1080i 60 DVCPROHD codec. The timeline was 1080p 24fps.

Fireworks is not low-light it is actually a light. That is why I shot at 0 db and up to f9.5

You did a nice job. I only noticed blocking when the action got very heavy. Did it occur in the original video, or was it introduced in post?

Blocking was all in the Quicktime encoding. The original footage is free of any noticeable glitches. The 60i seemed to handle the chaotic action better.

I had to take the clip down due to bandwidth. I'll leave the settings up though, which produced nice results.
