LCD viewfinder issue!
Hi guys, I'm currently thinking of buying a used XL2 for a really good price (don't worry, if I get it, it'll be local pickup and i'll be giving the camera a nice lookover before exchanging any money) but there's an issue with the camera.
Apparently, the reason it's going for so low is because it's missing a small latch which connects the eyepiece to the LCD viewfinder is missing and the LCD itself will sometimes flicker on and off. Is that something I'd be able to fix or replace easily? Thanks experts! |

Kyle,
How is the LCD flickering on/off? By itself or if you turn the viewfinder or if you tap the camera or VF? The eyepiece lock is an inexpensive part but you may need someone to install it. Canon describes it as "lever, eyepiece release". |

Hey, I saw that camera too. Did you end up getting it?

Hmm. I'm having a hard time picturing what exactly is missing. Would an eyepiece from another camera work perfectly on this camera? If not, I wouldn't touch that camera.

It's gone now (I was looking at it too), no idea if he got it, but I think it was just a viewfinder issue.
