Adapter Holder
In the Canon XL2 Brochure the camera is pictured with an
Adapter Holder. I would like to attach my Anton Brick and Wireless Receiver Holder like I had on my XL1s. Yet this item is not mentioned in Canon's list of whats in the box, nor is it listed in several sights I checked selling the camera. Any know if this item actually comes with the camera? If not, where to purchase this? Thanks in advance for your time. |

Yes. It does come in the box...it was a nice surprise, although at first I wasn't sure what it was.

It comes with the camera. Both the XL-1s and XL-2 use the same Anton Bsuer gold-mount.

Do any of you XL-2 owners know what the triangular hole pattern on the back ledge of the adapter/holder is for? I can't think of any accessory off hand that would screw in there.
thanks, -gb- |

Its for mounting a plate that will hold an Anton Bauer Brick and
Wireless Receiver Holder. I have it mounted on my Xl1s. I bought the MA-100, the Anton Gold Mount Brick Adapter and the Wireless Receiver Holder and for the life of me, I cant rember wich item supplied the plate. |

The plate is attached to the Anton-Bauer gold mount when you purchase that model (QR-XL1C) for the either the XL-1S or XL-2 (both cameras use the same).

Thanks fellas, for some reason I thought the AB would clip on much like the CH-910 does. I'm definitely goiing to look into getting something to add some weight back there. I've noticed the XL-2 puts a lot more pressure on my right palm at the base of the hand grip.
