Great Camera

Hi to you all,

First off all, to all of you out there a great 2005 !

After a long search for the right camera i received yesterday my XL2. The great information i took from this community made my choice much easier, so thanks to you all !!!

I took of course right away a couple of footages and I was amazed, and that was still on auto mode.

So i hope to share with you all my experiences with this camera.

P.S. I love the idea to make a trade footage, so when and if, i will join. It will be also a great idea for background music.

My current situation:
One XL2 (in the near future could be two)
Sennheiser AW 100 ENG G2 wireless microphone
Miller SOLO tripod
Still looking for a good lighting for the XL2 (any suggesting are welcome)
Well that’s about it.

Obed (From the Netherlands)

Welcome aboard DVInfo.net Obed! Greeting from The Netherlands
as well! <g> May I ask where you bought this camera from? I
haven't seen the XL2 here in Holland yet (besides the IBC show).

Hi Rob,

You can buy the camera in almost any shop, but most of the time they will have to order it from Canon. I'm still suspicious of bying from the internet although the price in the US are much cheaper then in the Netherlands (maybe the next time i will travel to the us to buy one extra ). For now i bought the camera in Tiel for a good price ( couple of honderds less then elsewhere in the Netherlands ).
