Direct to disk
I have been looking for the direct to disk software form canon but can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Steve, I got it at Canon Asia (link below), but you have to register your XL2 before you can download.
Actually, any NLE software that runs on a laptop will give you the same (or even more) features, so if you can't find the Canon program, it might not be that big a deal. Richard http://www.canon-asia.com/# |

I've heard good things about the DV Rack and my guess is that it
blows away any software produced by Canon. Sorry Canon, but imo remote capture, image browser and the rest seem like they were programmed in the early 1990's. http://www.seriousmagic.com/dvrack.cfm
