skin detail setting...
what skin detail setting do most of you use, if any at all???
and for what circumstances... i'm trying to set my presets... |

Hi Kevin,
To be honest, the default settings for skin detail worked very nicely for the couple of times I really wanted that feature so far -- worked well, but subtle enough not to look processed. But then, I'm just a hobbyist. I think, though, that it is going to be one of those visual artist/director of photography sort of decisions that just can't be "scripted." The lighting, skin tones (or really, any color that you might want to smooth out in your shot), the end feel and effect that you want to achieve are going to have to be decided upon in real time during shooting. Maybe those who do more "head shots" than I do might have some further words. Cheers,
