Best settings?
Hi There
I have been reading with great interest the various threads on different settings that can be employed on the XL2 to achieve a variety of "looks". I am producing an educational dvd that calls for close shots of a hand drawing. I am looking to capture the finest detail I can both of lines drawn and hand movement. I have a lighting setup that casts almost no shadows and would like advice on what would be the optimum settings for the cameras. I employ two XL2's , one wider shot and one very tight shot. I am shooting 25p at 1/50, 16:9. |

Eric, only "you" can determine what "looks best." What settings I use for my shoot may not work for yours. What settings you use today may not work for a shoot you do next week.
My advice would be set up your shot, get your video monitor, hook up the cameras and adjust the settings until you *see* what *you* like. Then, using a firewire connection, simply transfer the settings from the first camera to the second. You're all set (no pun intended). Jay |
