XL2 viewfinder vs actual frame borders

Hello the footage I'm shooting does not match up with what I see in the viewfinder. It seems like the viewfinder only shows about 90% of the actual frame. Is there a setting to fix this?
thanks in advance

Re: XL2 viewfinder vs actual frame borders

Hi,

Nope. You can't do anything to fix this. BTW. There are 2 tricky terms I always mix because of the counterintuitive meanings: underscan and overscan. You may want to research this for details.

If you really want to see the actual recorded full frame in the viewfinder you need Canon's FU1000 CRT viewfinder for XL series.

Hope that helps,

Piotr
